Bolinger Law Firm is one of the oldest firms in Kokomo, Indiana. It was established in 1947 by Donald J. Bolinger. Since that time, we have provided the people of North Central Indiana with a wide range of legal services. Bolinger Law Firm exists as a legal firm for all areas and stages of your life, with a concentration in Family Law and Criminal Law.

Donald J. Bolinger II has practiced law for over 30 years.  A graduate of Haworth High School in Kokomo, he attended Indiana University, graduating with a B.A. in 1980. He then received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence, in 1983, from Indiana University School of Law. Mr. Bolinger was admitted to the Indiana State Bar on October 7th, 1983.  Mr. Bolinger believes that his firm's  ability to effectively serve our clients stems from our experience and training in many areas of law, combined with our knowledge of, and involvement in, the communities we serve. As a lifelong Howard County resident, "DJ" Bolinger has actively participated in the community through local politics, coaching PAL and Taylor Middle School football, and Taylor Baseball Southeast. Bolinger Law Firm is also a proud supporter of The Kokomo Humane Society.

Jeffrey W. Elftman graduated from Eastern Howard High School before earning a B.A. in English and Psychology from Indiana University Bloomington in December 2004 and finishing his Juris Doctorate from Indiana University School of law in May of 2011. Jeff took the Indiana State Bar Exam in July of 2011 and was admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and the U.S. District Courts for Northern and Southern Indiana in October 2011. Mr. Elftman is currently Treasure  of the Howard County Bar Association, after serving as President in 2015.  Through the Howard County Bar Association Mr. Elftman has presented classes to fellow attorneys on updates to the new expungement law and driver's license restoration. Mr. Elftman has argued before the Indiana Court of Appeals and has represented clients at the trial level in criminal cases ranging from public intoxication to murder. Mr. Elftman has also been actively involved in the Howard County Problem Solving Courts including the Howard County Re-Entry Court and the Howard County Drug Court. He is a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and enjoys cycling, backpacking and kayaking. He is an Eagle Scout and recipient of the Indiana Distinguished Service Medal.  


 Erik J. May  joined Bolinger Law Firm in March of 2017 as an associate attorney.  Mr. May has practiced law in Kokomo for thirteen years with a focus on employment law, personal injury, criminal defense and family law..  He is a graduate of Taylor High School, Indiana University Kokomo and received his Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University School of Law and earned admission  to the Indiana Bar in May of 2004.   He has served in leadership roles and volunteered for numerous community organizations, including CASA of Howard County, the Mayor's Council on Substance Abuse Prevention of Howard County, Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative, St. Joan of Arc and St. Patrick School, Western School Corporation, Kokomo School Corporation, Carver Community Center, Special Olympics of Howard County, The Kokomo Soccer Club  and the Howard County Bar Association.

Peter A. Inman  is the newest addition to Bolinger Law Firm.  He graduated from Taylor High School before attending Purdue University, where he obtained a B.A. in Sociology.  Mr. Inman earned his Juris Doctor from Indiana  University Maurer School of Law in 2016.  He is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana as well as in the Federal Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.  Mr. Inman and his wife, Heather, enjoy volunteering for Easterseals Crossroads  As an Eagle Scout, Mr. Inman looks forward to using his education and experience to serve his hometown of Kokomo, as well as the surrounding area.

Bolinger Law Firm is located in one of Indiana's beautiful and historic sites, Kokomo's Old City Building, at 102 North Washington Street. Although our office is in Kokomo, we serve all of the surrounding counties with significant practices in Peru, Marion, Logansport, Tipton, Frankfort, Rochester, Delphi, and Wabash.
